About Gator Layer Lines

A hobby that got a little out of hand.

Gator Layer Lines started pretty simply: I enjoy 3D printing and making cool stuff.

What began as a hobby quickly turned into a growing collection of prints, projects, and ideas that I wanted to share with other people. Today you’ll find everything from Chunkables and display pieces to cosplay props, vehicles, Hype Chains, and whatever else catches my attention and makes me think, “I need to print that.”

Gator Layer Lines is a small, locally run operation in the Channahon/Minooka area. There isn’t a warehouse or a production line behind the website. I print, inspect, prepare, and pack the products myself.

How I Print

Quality matters to me.

One of the best compliments I can get is when someone sees one of my prints and doesn’t realize it was 3D printed until they’re actually holding it.

I spend the time to get the print quality, colors, fit, and finish where I want them before something goes out the door. That doesn’t mean a 3D print will ever be absolutely perfect—layer lines and small variations are part of the process—but I take pride in making the finished product look as good as I can make it.

Some products are kept In Stock and Ready to Ship. Others are Printed to Order, which means I’m making that item specifically for your order. Printed-to-order items are typically ready within 3–5 business days, although especially large or complex prints may take a little longer.

I’m not trying to run a giant print farm. I’m doing this because I genuinely enjoy making this stuff, and I want that to show in what you receive.

Local to Gator Layer Lines

Gator Layer Lines is locally operated in the Channahon/Minooka area.

Shipping is available for eligible products, along with local pickup and free local delivery within 5 driving miles, subject to address confirmation. Choose local delivery at checkout and I will confirm eligibility before production starts and arrange a delivery time after your order. If your address is outside the delivery area, I will contact you to arrange pickup, paid shipping where available, or cancellation with a full refund.

Whether your order is going across town or across the country, the goal is the same: make something cool and make it well.
